Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This page explains how to remove ByVeya's access to the Facebook, Instagram and TikTok accounts you have connected, and how to ask us to delete the data we hold from those platforms. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Who we are

BYVEYA CORP LIMITED trading as ByVeya is the controller of the personal data described on this page under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Company Number: 15702190 (BYVEYA CORP LIMITED, formerly KUNDA HOUSE LIMITED; registered in England and Wales)
  • Registered office: Office 6288 58 Peregrine Road, Ilford, England, IG6 3SZ
  • Email: [email protected]

Data we hold from connected platforms

We only receive data from a platform after you connect an account and grant permissions. Depending on the permissions you grant and the features you use, we may hold:

  • Meta (Facebook, Facebook Pages, Instagram and Meta ads): your account, Page, Instagram account and ad account IDs; names, usernames, profile pictures and, where granted, your email address; access tokens and the permissions granted; posts, comments and messages handled through ByVeya; Page and Instagram insights; and ad account, campaign, spend and performance data.
  • TikTok (TikTok accounts and TikTok ads): your TikTok user and advertiser IDs; display name and avatar; access and refresh tokens and the permissions granted; videos published or scheduled through ByVeya and their metrics; and campaign, spend and performance data.

We use this data only to provide the features you have chosen, such as publishing, inbox, analytics and advertising management. We never receive your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok password.

How to request deletion

You can use any of these options:

  1. Disconnect the account in ByVeya. Use the disconnect option for the connected Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account in your ByVeya social media or ads connections. This stops ByVeya using the connection.
  2. Delete your ByVeya account. In the client portal, open Settings, choose the Security tab and select Delete Account. In the ByVeya mobile app, open More, choose Settings and select Delete Account. See our account deletion instructions.
  3. Email us. Send a request to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", from the email address linked to your ByVeya account if possible. Tell us which platform it concerns (Facebook, Instagram or TikTok) and the account, Page or advertiser name or ID.

We verify your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not delete someone else's data. You do not need a ByVeya login to make a request by email.

Removing ByVeya from Facebook, Instagram or TikTok

You can also remove ByVeya's access from the platform itself at any time:

  • Facebook: go to Settings & privacy > Settings > Apps and websites, select ByVeya and choose Remove. For Pages and business assets, also check Business integrations.
  • Instagram: go to Settings and privacy > Website permissions > Apps and websites, select ByVeya and choose Remove.
  • TikTok: go to your profile, open the menu and choose Settings and privacy > Security & permissions > Manage app permissions, select ByVeya and choose Remove access.

Removing access stops ByVeya receiving new data from that platform. It does not by itself delete data we already hold, so please also send us a deletion request using one of the options above.

What we delete and when

Once we have verified your request, we delete the stored access and refresh tokens for the connection, and the account identifiers, profile data, insights, content and ads data we hold from that platform, together with records derived from them.

We complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. We will always respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires. Encrypted backups may take up to 90 days to expire, and data in backups is not used in the meantime.

Deleting data held by ByVeya does not delete your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account, or content already published there. You can delete that content on the platform itself.

What we may keep

We keep some information where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. For example:

  • invoices, payment and payout records, including the payee name, which we keep for 6 years to meet UK record-keeping rules;
  • records needed for fraud prevention, security investigations or an ongoing dispute;
  • a record of your deletion request and our response.

Anything we keep is restricted to that purpose and deleted when the applicable period ends.

Confirmation and reference

When we receive your request we will email you a reference number. When deletion is complete we will email you again to confirm, quoting the same reference. Please quote it if you contact us about your request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
